SCR Collects Rs 1.38 Lakh Penalty From Illegal Vendors

SCR Collects Rs 1.38 Lakh Penalty From Illegal Vendors:- During a surprise check against unauthorized hawking at Secunderabad Railway Station on Tuesday, South Central Railway has imposed penalties to the tune of Rs 1.38 lakh on illegal vendors.

According to an SCR release, the officers from Commercial and Security Branch of the Secunderabad division took part in the surprise check.

During the drive Satavahana Express, Falaknuma Express, Visakha Express and Godavari Express trains were checked on the platform and 92 unauthorized hawkers or vendors found selling at the Station were apprehended and produced before the Special Judicial Magistrate for Railways. Moreover, an amount of Rs 1,38,000 was imposed as fine on these unauthorized vendors.

Officials who participated in the surprise check were BD Christopher, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, K Senthil, Senior Divisional Security Commisioner, 16 Ticket Checking Staff, 10 Commercial Inspectors and 10 RPF staff of Hyderabad Division.
