TRS MLA, Daughter Duped By Koya Pujaris:- In a bizarre incident, the Koya pujaris - soothsayers to the tune of over Rs 57 Lakh, have duped TRS MLA Dharma Reddy, and his daughter Manasa.
The MLA’s family was allegedly cheated by the Koya Pujaris. The pujaris claimed that special pujas would brought them luck and make him a minister. The Koya Pujaris identified as Pastam Narsimha Raju and Vamshi of Karimabad have said the MLA's daughter Manasa to do some rituals for her father to “become” minister. Apparently, the Koya doras, have collected money of nearly Rs 57 lakh in the name of Graha Dosham Pujas. The MLA, with no result and pujaris asking “more” money has suspected “something wrong” and approached the cops.
The Koya pujaris, initially, have acquainted with MLA’s daughter Manasa who was then “offering prayers” to God for kids. That is when Koya doras have told her that she would be blessed by a baby girl. In the meantime, she underwent some medical treatment due to which she is blessed with a baby. This is what said to have influenced her to trust the words of Koya pujaris. And this is not all. The Koya pujaris have also told Manasa that she would also become “MLA” soon.
The cops have now booked cheating cases against Pastam Narsimha Raju and Pastam Vamsi. The incident has shocked many in the government and district as it once again proved that how even legislators are falling prey to age-old superstitions.
