Actress Charmi’s Father Responds On Her Involvement In Drug Mafia Case:- A few days ago, the Excise department has issued notices to few of the popular celebrities from Tollywood. And one among those is actress Charmi.

In a recent development, Charmi’s father Deep Singh Uppal, responding over the reports of her involvement in drugs mafia case and she receiving notices from the Excise department, has tried to clear the air. Mr. Deep Singh stated that Charmi has “no role” in the drugs scandal. The scandal that was unearthed after a drug peddler by the name, Kelvin was arrested by the Excise Department officials.

Charmi is very disturbed with the allegations, stated her father. Deep Singh was quoted as saying, “Charmi is heartbroken. She is not involved into this. I know my daughter. She has been working hard since she was 13 and looking after our family. She is very dedicated towards her work that has brought her this far and not into any illegal things. Had she involved into these, she would not had such a longevity of career, success. I urge media to verify facts before resorting to allegations and think of their families.” He concluded saying that truth will come out.

After many of her previous films failed at the Box Office, Charmi’s acting career is on a downward spiral. Along with director Puri Jagannadh with whom she is closely associated with, she has co-founded Puri Connects, a talent management firm. Director Puri Jagannadh has already attended before the SIT today, i.e. July 19 and the actress  is going to present before the SIT on July 20, followed by few other Tollywood celebs.
