RJD Supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav Appears In CBI Court Over Fodder Scam Case:- RJD Supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, appeared in a Central Bureau of Intelligence (CBI) court in Ranchi, in a fodder scam case.

According to his lawyer, in two cases, witnesses were produced. On Tuesday, in another case, Lalu’s statement was recorded. The fraudulent withdrawal of Rs 49 crore from Doran (Ranchi), Rs 33 crore from Chaibasa and Rs 95 lakh from Deoghar treasuries are the three cases in which Lalu appeared are related to.

Lalu Prasad was convicted and sentenced to five-year imprisonment in May, in one of the five cases for which he is being tried in the fodder scam. In the early 1990s when he was the Chief Minister, that is when the Rs 900-crore scam surfaced.

The majority of the cases are related to the southern region of then undivided Bihar, which after the division form the state of Jharkhand.
