Speeding Car Hits Divider In Banjara Hills; Driver Dead, Two Critical:- In a major road accident, one person died and two others were seriously injured when their car turned turtle on the busy Banjara Hills Road No 3 on Tuesday afternoon.

The i20 car hit the road divider at a high speed near Masjid junction and rolled over killing the driver on the spot.
The other two persons who received injuries were shifted to hospital by the police.

Eye witnesses said that the car was traveling at high speed and it flipped several times in the air before coming to rest in an overturned position. The deceased car occupant was identified as F Ali and was a student of Muffakham Jah College and resided at MLA Quarters.

The accident resulted in heavy traffic jam on either side of the busy road stretch between Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills check post and the traffic police personnel had a hard time pulling out the injured victim from the overturned car and clearing the jam. The victims were rushed to a private hospital. Traffic flow from Somajiguda to LV Prasad Eye Hospital through TV9 office stopped for sometime by the police to clear the wreckage. The road prior to the site of the crash has a sharp turn followed by a steep incline which requires drivers to slow down before proceeding. Police suspect that the young driver failed to negotiate the steep incline and crashed into the road divider.
