HCU Research Scholar Vishal Tandon Commits Suicide:- Frustrated over unsettled life, a 45-year-old scholar of Hyderabad Central University (HCU) committed suicide by allegedly jumping off the 14th floor of an apartment at Chandanagar on Saturday.

The victim identified as Vishal Tandon, was a native of Punjab. He was residing at Chandanagar on the 14th floor of the 18-storied Aparna Sarovar apartments. According to the police, Vishal was staying alone, as his mother went to Mumbai to see her daughter Geetika. Due to health problems and his failure to secure a job, he committed suicide. However, after seeing his brother’s mail, Geetika pinged one of Vishal’s friends who resides in a nearby flat. But, unfortunately, by the time he reached the house, Vishal was found lying in a pool of blood on the ground floor.

For the past two years, Vishal was doing research on gender studies at the university. A case has been registered and the body was sent for post-mortem.
