Sushma Swaraj Assures To Provide Help To Telangana Woman Jailed In Saudi:- Through the social media platform, Twitter, Minister for External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday assured to provide legal aid to Fahimunissa Begum, who is currently lodged in a jail in Riyadh.

Hailing from Kagaznagar, Telangana, the husband of the woman, Shaik Sadiq had reached out to Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD), K T Rama Rao on Twitter and sought his help to rescue her from jail.

The Minister KTR tweeted:

“Would like to request you to provide legal aid for Fahimunnisa Begum @SushmaSwaraj Ji @IndianEmbRiyadh”

The MA&UD Minister responded immediately and requested External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj on Twitter to provide legal help for Fahimunissa Begum. Within no time, the Minister tweeted back saying the Centre would provide the distressed woman with the required legal assistance.

Sushma Swaraj Tweeted:

“We will provide Fahimunnisa Begum legal aid and all assistance.”

The quick response from Sushma Swaraj evoked praise from the MA&UD Minister. “Once again you proved that relief for NRIs in trouble is just a tweet away,” MA&UD Minister, Rama Rao tweeted back to Minister.

“Thank you madam. Appreciate the prompt response. Once again, you proved that relief for NRIs in trouble, is just a tweet away”

The victim, Fahinunnisa Begum had gone to Saudi Arabia two months ago but was harassed by the kafil. Her husband said that they had lost contact with her 45 days ago and were recently informed that she was sent to jail by the kafil who filed a false case against her.
