TS Govt Spent KCR Publicity

Besides the advertisement films to electronic media, a huge three page full advertisements were given to almost all the local and national news papers.

The TRS Government brought prime time slots on major television channels for carrying interviews with KCR’s son and IT Minister KT Rama Rao. Through a Mumbai-based advertising agency, the advertisements were released to the media.

Though it is common for any government to periodically give advertisements to the newspapers on important occasions, it is said to be the first time that such a huge amount was spent on a single day for media advertisements.

The other expenditure apart from the amount spent on media publicity is the expenses incurred on conducting the State formation day celebrations in all the districts in the form of beautifying streets, illumination official buildings, and putting up huge hoardings. Does this not seem to be an interesting aspect?

As the election year approaches, one may have to see more such publicity blitzkriegs in the coming days.
