US Software Giant Shows Keen Interest To Partner With TS Govt:- Cisco, the American software giant has shown keen interest in partnering with the Telangana Government.

The partnership between the two firms majorly would be in establishing the new networking project in Telangana, the Technology Demonstration Network. This network explains the paradigm changes that could be ushered in through the digitalization process.

IT Minister KT Rama Rao met Cisco Chairman John Chambers, in Silicon valley in the United States. John further appreciated on the rapid pace with which Telangana Government is advancing on the digitalization front. The Cisco Chairman has asked his India-based team to discuss with the Telangana Government on this issue and take the idea forward.

Knowing about the technological initiatives of the Telangana government, Chambers said these initiatives would not only strengthen the economy, but also bring in change in the lives of the people, especially those living in rural areas.

According to an official press release, KTR explained to the Cisco Chairman about the government’s plan to provide digital services to all the households along with the Mission Bhagiratha scheme. The health and education sectors could witness significant growth through video interactive technologies, maintained the Cisco Chief.

John Chambers also said that he would interact with the entrepreneurs in Hyderabad, Startups in T-Hub to give them a line of direction. He also wanted the Telangana government to take up a pilot project through the Cisco Solutions.

The IT Minister, who was taken to the Cisco experience centre, explained the digital initiatives undertaken by the Telangana government. He requested the Cisco to set up a manufacturing unit in Telangana.

IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan was seen accompanying the minister.
