Congress chief Sonia Gandhi was issued notice over non-payment of dues of a building which was constructed by the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee in Thiruvananthapuram. It was named Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Development Studies.
According to the petitioner, the particular land was purchased by KPCC and registered in the name of KPCC. Heather construction had constructed the building in 2013.
Oommen Chandy and Ramesh Chanithala assured payment for the construction. About Rs 2.80 crore was due from them.
The notice was sent to five people which includes Sonia Gandhi,Sudheeran, Ramesh Chanithala, Oommen Chandy and Hidur Mohammed. These are members of the governing body of the institute while Hidur is the director of the institute.
