Yuvraj sold for Rs 16 crores

The Indian Premier League Auction 2015 has hit the bull eye this year too with franchises buying players for crores of Rupees. Ignored for the ICC World Cup 2015, Yuvraj Singh has once again proved that he is a hot cake in the auction and Delhi Daredevils has bagged him for a whopping amount of Rs 16 crores. This price tag is Rs 2 crores higher than the previous auction for Yuvraj. He was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 14 crores in 2014 auction.

The second highest bid went for wicketkeeper batsmen Dinesh Karthik. He was bought for Rs 10.5 crores by  Royal Challengers Bangalore. Sri Lanka captain and all-rounder Angelo Mathews was sold for Rs 7.5 crores to  Delhi Daredevils and the same franchise bought Amit Mishra too for Rs 3.5 crores. England players Kevin Pietersen and captain Eoin Morgan were bought by SunRisers Hyderabad while Murali Vijay went to Kings XI Punjab.

Top players like Kumara Sangakarra, Mahela Jayawardene, Hashim Amla and India's Cheteshwara Pujara were unsold. This year too no Pakistan player was included for the auction.
