Cairns, who has been the focus of spot-fixing, is now struggling to support his family as legal expenses over the claims of match-fixing are increasing like the inflation of the Zimbabwe. According to a local newspaper in New Zealand, Chris Cairns is working at just $17 per hour.

Another former cricketer of New Zealand has confirmed Chris's present status and added that the New Zealand all-rounder is trying his best to support his family in all way. Chris Cairns was considered one of the finest cricketers with both bat and ball. His special knock at Nairobi in the ICC Champions trophy against India is one the best innings that will remain in history.
