Karnataka government has reimbursed its Housing Minister MH Ambareesh Rupees 1.16 crores for his medical expenses at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre in Singapore, one of the best hospitals in Asia. As per the government regulations, a minister will be compensated up to Rs. 7 lakh for their medical treatment but Karnataka government treated Ambareesh's case as a special one.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on this matter stated that special cases can be an exception for the government rule and so the government has agreed to reimburse the minister.
The medical expenses include the airfare for Ambareesh, his family and his doctors. However it was not revealed about the ailment minister was suffering from and more shockingly BJP, is reluctant to comment on this issue. Ambareesh remained unavailable to comment.
