Injured Brazilian football player Neymar may undergo ayurveda treatment in Kerala but this has not been confirmed by any except the Kerala media. Neymar suffered a back injury during his team`s quarter-final win against Colombia in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2014 and eventually was ruled out of the tournament too.

Neymar sustained a broken vertebrae and reports claimed that Brazilian football Federation has contacted Kerela Chief Minister for the ayurveda treatment. However CM Oommen Chandy clarified that no federation or association has approached him in this regards.

But Chandy has said that many proposals, especially from fans in Kerala requested the government to put up a proposal for treating Neymar using ayurveda. Kerala Health Minister Siva Kumar will address the media on this whole issue today.

Further Chandy said, “we are only going to decide whether to put up a proposal to Neymar whether he wants our treatment.”
