Dr.K.V.P.Ramachandra Rao popularly known as KVP and recently being started called as 'Atma' of YSR after former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy's death.  He worked as the Chief Advisor during YSR's regime and as such believed to be a person having thorough knowledge of the affairs of YSR and YS Jagan.  

Although KVP lost his Chief Advisor position in Kiran Kumar's Government, he holds his Membership to the Parliament and tours Delhi frequently not only to attend the Parliament as the political analysts say, but to use his old ties at Delhi in getting the works done by lobbying without much sweat.  

He was questioned by CBI in YS Jagan's disproportionate assets case but could not nail him in any of the activities as no paper was signed and no written instructions were given to anyone but did many things beyond just giving advices in political affairs to YSR, as the persons connected in political circles believe.  

Recently the transfer of CBI JD Lakshminarayana who has been working on YS Jagan’s money laundering cases right from the beginning in spite of the permission sought by the CBI to extend his deputation made many eyebrows rise including that of CBI.  It is not that nobody else can handle the case but as a JD, Lakshminarayana was having a thorough knowledge into the depths of the case and at the crucial moment his transfer took place and permission was denied by PM’s office to continue his services.  

The statements of YS Jagan's coterie with confidence after a series of bail petitions were rejected by the courts that he will come out in a few months connects to the KVP’s working on it.  First, it is believed, that the path is cleared by allowing JD Lakshminarayana to leave CBI.  

But Congress Party is keen on crushing YS Jagan's political movement.  When the Congress leaders came to know that KVP’s hand is behind the JD’s departure, they became furious and said which party he is working for?  Being an MP of Congress Party KVP's loyalty towards the party is expected.  But the attachment KVP has with YSR made him work in favor of Jagan as the political analysts put it.  After all he is ‘Atma’ of YSR and he naturally works for the welfare of YSR's family as some of the analysts take it.
