YS Sharmila in her padayatra program called as Maro Praja Prasthanam in support of YSR Congress Party in Khammam District ran on the road instead of walking.

When she was on foot at Julurupadu, suddenly honey bees started chasing the group. Sharmila had to run to avoid its stings. Everybody accompanying her ran for safety. About 20 people got injured in the incident but the party felt happy to note that Sharmila ran to her vehicle and slipped in to it and could safely placed herself in the vehicle till the bees attack subsided.

YS Jagan’s sister Sharmila had been on the walking program of padayatra since 140 days. She was operated for a slip in her ankle and knee during the program.

The idea of padayatra is to meet natives on the way and to know their living style especially to share their hardships in daily chores and any other problems in general of the area to take up with the Government or concerned authorities. This will give the party leader a chance to have an interaction that will leave a good impression about the party and its leadership.
