Heil Fuhrer! Aaand banned for life!

Giorgos Katidis wanted to celebrate his goal that he scored for AEK Athens over Veira which was responsible for a victory. He had a minimalistic and effective way to celebrate which was offensive to the rest of the world though. A Nazi salute as a form of goal celebration in the Greek League match was the end of his career in Greece.

Greece Football Federation was deeply offended with his move and banned him from playing for any Greek team for life after his Nazi salute, as it maintained that the salute "is a deep insult to all victims of Nazi brutality".

Katidis, 20, scored the winning goal in the match against Veria for AEK Athens taking the score to 2-1. He was unaware of hurting the sentiments of several people in the world as media brought in a lot of response over his gestures. Apologetic about the celebration on Twitter and TV, he pleaded being unaware of the meaning. AEK could also be penalized for his actions while fans have asked him out of the team.

He probably did Nazi it coming. Hah! Nazi puns are my favorite!
