Death Toll in HPCL refinery Blast Reached 11

11 Employees are declared dead in the fire accident that broke in the HPCL refinery at Visakhapatnam. 4 wounded in critical condition were air lifted to Mumbai for better medical treatment.

About 3000 contract labor are protesting at the main gate of the Refinery.  They demand the list of the dead in the incident and immediate release of compensation.

A blast occurred in one of the cooling towers in the HPCL refinery on Friday.  Still particulars of names of the persons dead and injured are not announced clearly and the cause of the accident is not determined.  Work in the refinery came to stand still and the wailing family members are demanding for the facts to be revealed.

Petrolium Minsiter Veerappa Moily announced a compensation of Rs.20 lakhs to the next kin of the deceased in the incident.  As per the latest announcement made by HPCL, 38 workers are undergoing treatement at various corporate hospitals.
