Madhusudana Reddy will replace Garg as Vijaywada City police chief

vijaywadaAndhra Pradesh government today promoted four IPS officers of the 1993 batch to the rank of Inspector General of Police. The government awarded new postings to eight IPS officers, including two of those promoted, while two others were retained in the same posts even upon promotion. Sandeep Shandily, who has been promoted to the rank of IGP, has been retained as the chief of Intelligence Security Wing. Vijaywada City Police Commissioner Amit Garg has been promoted as Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) in Hyderabad. 1997 batch officer N Madhusudana Reddy will replace Garg as Vijaywada City police chief while Kumar Viswajeet will be taking charge as the Joint Commissioner (Security and Coordination) in Hyderabad city. On promotion, P V Sunil Kumar has been retained as the Enforcement Director (Prohibition and Excise Department) while V Venugopala Krishna has been promoted to the rank of IGP and posted to the Police Transport Organisation. Additional Director General of Police, M Aruna Bahuguna, has been posted as Commissioner (Printing and Stationery) in the existing vacancy. M Gopikrishna has been transferred from the Information Technology Department and posted back to police as Inspector General of Crime Investigation Department. V Naveen Chand has been posted as Joint Commissioner of Police (Special Branch) in Hyderabad while N Sanjay as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Nizamabad Range.
