No to Hyderabad police, yes to Jagan's meeting

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has overruled the wishes of the Hyderabad Police and given the green signal for YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy to conduct a big meeting in Hyderabad. Jagan is planning to hold a large public meet in protest of the state’s bifurcation.

This Saturday, the Samaikyandhra supporter will hold a public meet at LB Nagar in Hyderabad. Earlier, Deputy Commissioner of police VB Kamalasan Reddy opposed the meet citing law and order problem. However, the court considered the issue and made the organizers promise in writing that there will be no provocative speeches at the meet.

Once this big meet kicks off, it will stand as the first public initiative by a political party speaking out against the central government’s decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh and carve out a new Telangana state. It will also become the first public meeting by Jagan after his release from jail.
