If the Telangana politicians have their way, Hyderabad and its police would be under the control of the new state. However, the Centre has decided to keep the Hyderabad police under its control, provoking TJAC, TRS and MIM leaders to vent out their opinions.
Following the Antony Committee meeting, it was decided that Congress politicians have made peace with the government's decision to make Hyderabad a joint capital for 10 years with the Hyderabad police under the center's control.
In contrast to the agreement, several pro-Telangana leaders have commented that they want the capital for themselves, complete with its police force. MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi expressed that Hyderabad should be capital of Telangana and police under its control as the state bifurcation decision is final.
Meanwhile TJAC chairman Kodandaram also commented on similar lines, saying the Nawab city and its police should be under Talangana control.
TRS president KCR is thinking one step ahead and has been calling for a 'Hamara Hyderabad' campaign after several meetings. He too wants the new state to have the city and its police.
All this fuss is being kicked up after the Telangana Congress ministers agreed to the Center's decision over the fate of Hyderabad.
