Accused as part of the illegal assets case plaguing YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy, former ministers Sabita Indra Reddy and Dharmana Prasada Rao have appeared before the CBI special court in Nampalli today. The court in turn postponed the custody petition to 19th July for further hearing.
They have supposedly helped Jagan bag investments from two companies, Dalmia and Vanpic, by doing more than required for the firms. Consequently, they are now facing charges for embroiling themselves with illegal possessions.
Earlier, the CBI has requested for the ministers to be taken into custody as they have the power and intention to influence witnesses in case they are allowed to roam free.
