Congress leader and mega star Mr Chiranjeevi promised to initiate efforts to do justice to the Telangana leaders of the erstwhile PRP in the congress party.
Speaking to media persons at the PRP office in Hyderabad after legislators C. Ramachandraiah and Ganta Srinivasa Rao were inducted into the Cabinet, Chiranjeevi said he never demanded the congress high command to give cabinet posts to his PRP legislators.
“However, justice would have been done to the Telangana leaders of the PRP if three members had been inducted into the cabinet,” Chiranjeevi said. Felicitating the new ministers, Chiranjeevi said he never hoped to become a power centre in the congress party. “Party will be strengthened if more powers come together,” he said.
Chiranjeevi thanked the congress president Sonia Gandhi and the Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for the induction of the two PRP members into the Cabinet. “Our aim is to ensure the congress victory in the 2014 elections,” he said. (JUBS)
