Jagan may not fire the gun at all, after all!

Jagan, political party, YSR Party, YSR Congress party, disappointment in Jagan group After much water has flown under the bridge of the former Kadapa MP Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy ever since he left the congress and decided to launch his own party, the congress leaders and MLAs supporting Jagan have reportedly lost much of the enthusiasm in surrounding him.

Sources say that most of the Jagan group leaders are not happy over their leader’s repeated postponements of the launching of the party and they now feel that the people have not taken the Jagan party seriously.

‘People think the launching of new political party by Jagan is a joke. After all, the new party may never be launched at all,’ seems to be the thinking of the most of the leaders of the Jagan group.

“After repeated announcements of launching the new political outfit for some months, it has still not taken any shape even after the party’s registration with the Election Commission of India,” said one of the leaders close to Jagan.

Jagan, instead of launching the party and inspiring his followers with his dynamism, has been moving around in the state in the name of hunger strikes and fasting programmes and on the pretext of consoling the victims of police firing.

This has virtually dampened the spirits of his followers as no activity is taking place at a time when the MLC elections are coming to close and when the bye elections to the Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly constituencies are round the corner. This is confirmed by the fact that the number of MLAs surrounding him has now come down to less than 20 from 30.

Added to this, there is a strong feeling that Jagan has also lost his popularity in the Seema Andhra area. In fact the lack of response to his Maha Dharna at Srikakulam on the issue of police firing has totally shocked his camp leaders.

On the other hand, Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy has announced that there would be a cabinet expansion by this month end. He is also trying to wean away the MLAs from Jagan offering them corporation posts. All these developments are strengthening the doubts that the Jagan party may not come at all.
