Revanth Reddy takes oath as Chief Minister

Revanth Reddy takes oath as Chief Minister:- Anumula Revanth Reddy, the prominent figure behind the Telangana Congress party's resounding triumph in the Assembly polls on November 30, was officially inaugurated today as the state's second Chief Minister. The momentous event took place at Hyderabad's Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium, in the presence of an audience of nearly 100,000, where Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan administered the oath of office to Mr. Reddy.

Alongside him, 11 members of his cabinet also took the oath, including Mallu Bhatti Vikaramarka who assumed the role of Deputy Chief Minister, and former Telangana Congress chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, who had initially opposed Revanth Reddy's appointment as Chief Minister. The remaining eight cabinet members to be sworn in were Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Damodar Rajanarasimha, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Dana Anasuya, Tummala Nageswar Rao, Konda Surekha, and Jupally Krishna Rao.

Notably, the ceremony was graced by the presence of the Gandhi family - Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra - as well as Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his congratulations to Mr. Reddy, reassuring him of his unwavering support for Telangana's progress.
