YS Jagan seeks Rs 12,911 Cr For Polavaram:- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan had a series of meetings yesterday in the National Capital Delhi. YS Jagan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah, and financial minister Nirmala Sitaraman. He has a list of demands including Polavaram project funds, a long-time dream of the Andhra Pradesh state people.

YS Jagan met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday and sought immediate financial assistance of Rs 12,911 Cr for the polavaram project. He claimed to the prime minister that Rs 55,549 Cr funds of the polavaram project are in pending for a long time. Jagan also said to Modi that Rs 17,144 Cr is required to speed up and complete the first phase. According to Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act 2014, the Polavaram project has been declared a national project. By considering this YS Jagan has requested for reimburse of Rs 1,310 Cr funds spent on Polavaram from the state's own account. The complete meeting went on for one and a half hours.
YS Jagan has submitted the pending promises of the state to the Financial minister Nirmala Sitaraman. Jagan also had prolonged discussions with Amit Shah and discussed various aspects including Polavaram project completion.
