Centre To Release Rs 17,144 Cr for Polavaram?:- Under the leadership of Narendra Modi, central government has allotted Rs 10,460 Cr to Andhra Pradesh as deficit compensation. Now again BJP government is expected to release Rs 17,140 Cr for the Polavaram project after taking cabinet approval.
Union minister Gajendrasingh Shekawat had a meeting in Delhi on the Polavaram project with Water Resources Secretary Symala Rao, Engineer Narayana Reddy and other officials who are related to the Polavaram project.
As the resettlement and rehabilitation of the project affected people, which was executed up to a height of 41.15 meters, the Central government going to release Rs 17,140Cr. Central Govt will also fund Rs 1800 Cr for the execution of the project. The official requested Rs 500Cr as the immediate release to go ahead with the project execution and to clear the completed work bills.
If everything goes as per schedule, Polavaral will be completed by 2025 June. Once the cabinet approves the request, Central will release the huge sum of funds for the Polavaram project. This will be a great gratitude for the state. Polavaram is projected as the lifeline for Andhra Pradesh people and the completion would bring many benefits to the state public.
