YS Jagan Discusses Special Category Status For AP With Modi:- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been in Andhra Pradesh for the birth anniversary celebrations of Alluri Seetharama Raju and he launched his idol in Bhimavaram yesterday. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy received him at the Gannavaram airport and was present with him till the event got completed. YS Jagan is said to have submitted a memorandum of requests for Narendra Modi at the Gannavaram airport on Monday. YS Jagan mentioned about the huge losses that the state incurred after the bifurcation in 2014. YS Jagan wanted Narendra Modi to reconsider about the Special Status for AP.

He also reminded about the pending Rs 34,125.4 crores grants for Andhra Pradesh. The Centre is also yet to give its nod about the revised cost estimate for the Polavaram project which is said to be Rs 55,548.87 crores. YS Jagan explained about the financial crisis of the state to Narendra Modi. He also announced his support for the NDA Presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu for the second time since June 23rd. YS Jagan also requested to clear the dues of Rs 6627.28 crores that was kept by Telangana Discoms to AP Genco. YS Jagan also reminded Narendra Modi about the allocation of rations for the state under the National Food Security Act.
