KCR Extended Dalit Bandhu to all the Telangana Dalit Families:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) has been keen to turn as a huge support for Dalits and announced Dalit Bandhu. The scheme was announced recently and the government started depositing Rs 10 lakhs for the eligible families in the state. Out of the 17 lakh Dalit families in Telangana, the government zeroed in 13 lakh families considering their financial status. KCR in a surprise move announced that Rs 10 lakhs will be offered for all the 17 lakh Dalit families in the state. The government is under huge stress because of Dalit Bandhu scheme. KCR made this announcement at the launch of the scheme in Huzurabad Assembly constituency. KCR addressed the public meet at Shalapally village in the state

KCR also said that the government will have an extra burden of Rs 40,000 crores but the government of Telangana will deliver the promise after it is made. "When the government is ready to give and when the Dalits are ready to take, what is the problem for the opposition parties? Even the families of the government employees will get Rs 10 lakhs through Dalit Bandhu scheme. The benefits like free ration, rice and pension for the Dalits will continue" told KCR. Dalit Bandhu scheme is expected to be completed in four years and the payments would be made directly into their bank accounts.
