Coronavirus Fever Continues to grip the Nation:- The second wave of coronavirus is yet to calm down for now. After the wave came down, a total number of 40,000 cases are reported on a single day basis from the past one and a half month. A total number of 44,643 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours. Several states witnessed a huge rise in the cases and the states imposed several restrictions to curb the new spread of cases. As per the reports from the Union Health Ministry, 41,096 new recoveries are reported in the state in the last 24 hours and the total number of recoveries climbed to 3,10,15,844. There are 4,14,159 active cases in the country for now and the active numbers are increasing on a regular basis from the past one week. As per the reports, the total number of people who took the vaccination dose for coronavirus are 49,53,27,595.

Kerala alone accounted to 50 percent of the reported cases of the country. Kerala reported 22,000 cases in the state in the last 24 hours. States like Tamil N Nadu and Himachal Pradesh saw a rise in the new cases from the past few days. Johnson & Johnson applied for the emergency use authorization of the single-dose coronavirus vaccine in India. The Indian government also revealed that the testing capacity has been ramped up considering the third wave and the rising numbers across the country. The positivity rate of coronavirus in India is 2.72 percent and it remained below 3 percent from the past 11 days as per the Health Bulletin.

As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total samples that are tested in India on August 5th are said to be 16,40,287 and the samples that are tested in India in total are 47,65,33,650.
