Rains Lash Telangana: More than 1000 Evacuated from Nirmal:- As predicted by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) based in Hyderabad, heavy rains lashed the state and a red alert is issued for the districts of Adilabad, Kumurambheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Jagtial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Kamareddy. More than 1000 people are evacuated from the Nirmal district after a huge downpour in the district. The unusual rains in the district drowned the low-lying regions. People are spotted fishing on the roads and the videos went viral now. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao instructed the officials and Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar to deploy the teams of NDRF in the region and take care of the rescue operations to prevent any unexpected incidents. Four NDRF teams reached the region and started their operations yesterday afternoon.

Several districts also received orange and yellow alerts in the state till Saturday. The highest downpour was 25 cm rainfall yesterday in the regions of Dilawarpur, Narsapur, Bhainsa, Sarangpur, Mamda, Kuntala and others. The rainfall data is available with the Telangana State Development Planning Society as per the districts and the regions. The officials in Nirmal told that the situations are currently under control except in Siddapur village that is near to the Nirmal town. Seventy people are left stranded in Siddapur. 600 people from Bhainsa have been evacuated and are moved to safer locations. There are relief camps that are run by the government. Most of the rivers and water bodies in Telangana are overflowing because of the heavy rains in the state. No loss of life is reported in the state for now.
KCR also asked the legislators and MPs to monitor the situation in their constituencies and focus on the preventive measures. The district collectors, SPs and revenue officials are asked to take care of the preventive measures in the Godavari catchment region. KCR asked the people to be evacuated if the situations are dangerous.
