India reports huge jump in new cases and deaths of Coronavirus:- After a steep decline in the new number of cases, the new tally saw a huge jump in the new cases and the deaths. A total number of 42,015 cases are reported in the past 24 hours in the country as per the Union Health Ministry. The total tally of cases reported in India till date reached 3,12,16,337. A massive jump in the deaths took place in the last 24 hours and 3998 people passed away in the country. The total death toll climbed to 4,18,480. There are 4,07,170 active cases of coronavirus in the country and the total number of recoveries in India are said to be 3,03,90,687. The total number of Indians who took the vaccination shot for coronavirus are 41,54,72,455. The daily positivity rate is now at 2.27 percent and it is below 3 percent from the past one month.
The findings of the fourth national sero survey revealed that 67.6 percent of the Indian population have antibodies against coronavirus. The findings gave a new ray of hope against the third wave of coronavirus but the government warned the people to be extra cautious and follow all the social distancing guidelines. The Indian recovery rate is at 97.36 percent. The Centre moved to the Supreme Court and sought four weeks time to finalize the quantum of ex-gratia that will be paid to the kin of the deceased. A doctor in Assam is said to have been infected with two different variants: Alpha and Delta. Her condition is said to be stable for now. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total number of samples tested in the country on July 20th are said to be 18,52,140 and the total samples tested till date are 44,91,93,273.
