3,43,144 new coronavirus cases reported in India:- A total number of 3,43,144 cases of coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours. The total tally of cases for coronavirus reached 2,40,46,809. The total number of recoveries in India reached 2,00,79,599 and there are 37,04,893 active cases for coronavirus in India. With more than 4000 deaths reported in the last 24 hours, the total deaths till date are said to be 2,62,317. The recovery rate for coronavirus in the country reached 83.50 percent as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. The Centre announced that there would be 200 crore doses of coronavirus vaccines available by the end of this year. Australia resumed the repatriation flights from India for the stranded citizens due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The positivity rate in India dips to 12 percent and 42,582 new cases of coronavirus are reported in Maharashtra and Kerala reported 39,955 new cases in the last 24 hours. The Russian vaccine Sputnik V reached India and it would be manufactured through Dr Reddys in India. The cost per imported dose is said to be Rs 995.40. There are talks that the prices will come down after the vaccination would be manufactures in India. Sputnik V is the third vaccine in India to get approved after Covaxin and Covishield. The Centre also extended the gap between the doses of Covishield to 16 weeks. Former AAP MLA Jarnail Singh passed away due to coronavirus. Global investment banking firm JP Morgan donated 3.8 million USD to support the Indian employees and the country to battle coronavirus.
