KCR to review the realignment of Regional Ring Road Plan:- The Regional Ring Road project in Telangana has been approved by the Centre and there are discussions that happened in the state's Assembly. The state's cabinet also allocated a huge budget for the land acquisition of the prestigious project. With huge development that took place due to the Ring Road in Hyderabad, the Telangana government is keen on one more Ring Road that would make the connectivity more easier. Several changes are done for the Regional Ring Road plan and the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will review the realignment plan in a week. Senior officials of Roads and Buildings (R&B) along with the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) officials and the Municipal Administration and Urban Development department.

KCR will take the final call on the realignment of the Regional Ring Road. There are few challenges to take up RRR project as per the old alignment. KCR has strict plans of completing this project in three years. Rs 750 crores are sanctioned for the project in the budget for 2021-22. The entire amount will be used for land acquisition. With several development programs taken on the Outer Ring Road from the past four years, the government of Telangana decided to come with a new alignment plan to avoid clash with these development programs taken in the state. The Centre gave their nod on February 22nd and asked the government of Telangana to complete the project. The project will have two parts: Northern part and the Southern part. The northern part is planned on a budget of Rs 9500 crores and the southern part is planned on a budget of Rs 6480 crores. The northern part of the RRR is approved by the Centre for now and the discussions for the approval of the southern part is on. The Regional Ring Road is planned at a stretch of 340 km.
