Farmers Protest At Delhi Border Completes 92 Days:- Today marks the 92nd day of the farmers' protest at the border of the national capital New Delhi. The farmers gathered in thousands and are protesting against the newly introduced three farm laws. Thousands of farmers from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh staged protests at the borders. The protests started on November 26th and the government met the Farmer Unions several times but the talks were never successful. The farmers demanded a complete rollback for the new laws and a guarantee on the Minimum Support Price (MSP) to be retained. The farmers are worried that the new laws will spoil the MSP system.

The Supreme Court ordered a stay on the farm laws and asked the Centre to form a committee to investigate the facts. The Centre proposed to suspend the laws for 18 months but the farmers never agreed. The protests on the Republic Day turned violent and the Delhi cops arrested several anti-national forces who joined the protests and triggered violence. The farmers also blocked the national and state highways on February 6th. A new petition was filed in the Supreme Court to set up a commission for farmers at the national and state levels. Bharatiya Kisan Union president Naresh Tikait yesterday called Defence Minister Rajnath Singh a 'Caged Parrot'.
