12,923 New Coronavirus Cases Reported In India:- A total number of 12,923 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours taking the total tally of cases to 1,08,71,294. The number of people recovered from coronavirus are said to be 1,05,73,372 as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. The death toll in the country stands at 1,55,360 and 108 new deaths are reported in India in the last 24 hours. The recovery rate in India stands at 97.26 percent and the fatality rate is 1.43 percent. The total number of active cases for coronavirus are 1,42,562 in India which contributes to 1.31 percent of the total caseload as per the data.

The global tally of coronavirus is at 10.71 crores and 23.45 lakh people died due to the deadly virus. India is the second most impacted country due to coronavirus and the wave of new cases came down gradually in the recent weeks. More than 70 lakh Indians received vaccination in India. An expert panel from the World Health Organization (WHO) suggested a gap of 8-12 weeks between the doses of coronavirus vaccine AstraZeneca. As per the report from the joint international expert team that conveyed to World Health Organization (WHO), the coronavirus could have come through the food chain and frozen products. The team comprised of 17 Chinese experts and counterparts from other countries.
