Farmers Warn of Indefinite Protests after January 4th:- Thousands of farmers and farmer unions staged protests across the national capital New Delhi's border against the newly introduced three farm laws. Six rounds of talks took place between the Centre and the Farmer Unions but they were unsuccessful. The fresh round of talks will take place on January 4th and the farmers warned to intensify their protests if their demands are not met in the next meeting. Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) met on Friday and discussed about their future plans. A tractor rally is planned to take place on January 6th on the express highway of Kundli Manesar Palwal.

A joint press conference is planned to take place today and the farmers will announce their future plans. Though the Centre said that they are ready to amend the laws, they made it clear that they would not cancel the laws that are approved in the Parliament. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that the last meeting was positive and they are expecting some more positive results in the next meeting. The major protest of the farmers is about the Farmer's Produce Trade and Commerce Act 2020, the Farmers Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act 2020 along with the Essential Commodities Act 2020.
