Farmers Protest: Meeting Scheduled For December 30th:- The farmers of Punjab and Haryana have been protesting in thousands at the New Delhi border from a month without break. A series of meetings are held between the Farmer Unions and the Centre but none of them have been successful. The Centre now called up for a fresh meeting with the protesting farmer unions on December 30th at 2 PM to end the stir. The farmers made it clear that the three introduced farm laws should be repealed. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to flag off the 100th Kisan Rail from Sangola, Maharashtra to Shalimar in West Bengal today.

Union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Piyush Goyal will be present for the event. Union Home Minister Amit Shah staged a meeting with Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Union Minister Piyush Goyal to discuss various key issues ahead of the meeting with the Farmers Unions. The meeting with the Farmer Unions will be held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. The opposition parties have been mounting pressure on the Centre about the farmers protest and Narendra Modi called it a political conspiracy. Union Minister for Agriculture Narendra Singh Tomar wrote a letter to the Farmer Unions about the scheduled meeting.
