India on Alert after Passengers from UK Tested Positive for Coronavirus:- The second wave of coronavirus is making many nations across the globe sleepless. A new strain of coronavirus is shattering the United Kingdom and India closed paths for all the flights that are arriving from the United Kingdom till the end of this month. At least 20 passengers from the United Kingdom who arrived into the country are tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday. The Indian government issued a stringent set of SOPs to conduct RT-PCR tests at the airport for each traveller coming from the United Kingdom. All the passengers are asked to be kept in isolation in a separate unit of an institutional facility. India is yet to spot such a virus in the country and all the preventive measures are currently taken.

The Health Ministry also issued Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for passengers who have travelled from or transited through the UK in the past four weeks. All the coronavirus tests are made mandatory and the passengers will be kept in special isolation units. The Centre kept all the state governments on high alert considering the heap of the wave of cases in the United Kingdom. The Union Health Ministry issued a statement last night that the mutated and aggressive strain of coronavirus found in the UK is not spotted in the country and it asked the people not to get panic. The initial reports suggest that the new strain can be 70 percent more easily transmitted among people which is a worrying factor. As of now, the wave of coronavirus cases in the country is calming down.
