India To Produce 300 Million Doses Of Sputnik V Vaccine:- India is the largest manufacturer of vaccinations across the world. After the arrival of coronavirus, several countries are looking towards the Indian pharmaceutical firms to produce the vaccine once it is ready. CEO of Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev revealed that India is in plans to produce around 300 million dose of Sputnik V, the Russian vaccine in 2021. The production is expected to start early next year. He said that there were negotiating with 110 production sites and zeroed in ten for the production. Russian based Sputnik V will be actively produced across the world next year.

Russia announced that the interim results for the clinical trials of Sputnik V showed 95 percent effectiveness. The efficacy rates are said to be 90 percent and even higher. Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) cited President Vladimir Putin announced that the vaccine's protection level will reach 96-97 percent. “Putin: Russia has been the first country in the world, which has invented and started to produce the COVID19 vaccine. And we have a good vaccine, safe and efficient - over 95% - and specialists say its protection level reaches 96-97%," tweeted MFA.

Russia conducted the last phase of clinical trials this month and the vaccine is now given to 2 lakh people in the country. Russia announced that a dose of Sputnik V is priced at 10 USD which is less than several announced vaccines.
