Farmers Protest Reaches 17th Day:- The Indian farmers have been protesting against the newly introduced farm laws and the protest reached 17th day. Several sets of discussions went unsuccessful and the farmers clarified that they would not step down and would intensify the protests. They are in plans to block all the highways that are heading to the national capital. Thousands of farmers camped at the Delhi border and they even warned the Centre of entering into the city. The Centre on Friday said that they haven't received any proposal from the farmers. On the other side, the farmers said that the Centre has to inform the Farmer Unions about the next meeting.
The farmers overpowered the toll plazas of Karnal and Panipat which are located on the Delhi and Chandigarh highway. The workers of Bharatiya Kisan Union will make all the highways toll free from today. The cops of Faridabad are deploying 3500 cops at the toll plazas of the Delhi and Haryana border. "People of India are watching, seeing what is happening, observing how across the country Leftist-Maoists are not finding any support & therefore they are trying to hijack this farmers agitation & trying misuse this platform for their own agenda" tweeted Piyush Goyal.
A petition was filed in the Supreme Court by the Bharatiya Kisan Union to shelve the new farm laws introduced by the Centre. Several farmers are on their way to Delhi from Punjab and Haryana. BJP is in plans to hold nationwide programs to highlight the benefits of the introduced three farm laws.
