Farmers Protest: Centre Asks Unions To Reconsider Their Proposals:- Thousands of farmers staged protests at the New Delhi border. Even after several rounds of talks, there are no positive developments after which the farmer unions announced that they would intensify their protests. All the roads heading to the national capital will be blocked from December 14th announced the farmers. The farmers opposed the recent proposals made by the Centre. The government now asked the Farmer Unions to reconsider their proposal once again. The Centre announced that they would be open for talks whenever the unions are ready.
Union agriculture minister Narendra Tomar said that they are ready to discuss the provisions as the Farmer Unions feel that they are impacted because of the new farm laws. He said that the laws are made for the whole country and several farmers are getting benefits out of the newly introduced farm laws. But the farmers are not in a mood to step down and they made a clarification that their demands have to be met at any cost. He said that the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured that the MSP for farmers would continue. "We have sent our proposal for the farmers. We are ready for open-minded discussions. The laws will not impact Minimum Support Price (MSP) and APMC mandis. We are ready to give this in writing. The government want to liberate farmers from the shackles" told Tomar.
