Farmer Unions Reject Government's Draft Proposal:- The protests of farmers reached 14 days and thousands of farmers reached the borders of New Delhi. The unions met the Centre to discuss about the amendments to be made and the talks went unsuccessful. The Farmer Unions met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and informed him that they are ready to take the agitation to the next level if their demands are not met. The further set of talks that are scheduled to take place today are cancelled. The Centre sent a draft proposal for the farmers about the amendments that would be made. The Farmer Unions rejected the proposal and they called it 'vague'.

The Farmer Unions threatened to intensify the protests and they announced that the Delhi-Jaipur highway would be blocked on December 12th. The Farmer Unions have been protesting against the three farm laws that are introduced by the Centre recently. The Centre proposed that they would give a written assurance about the Minimum Support Price (MSP). The Centre also assured about the registration of the private mandis to strengthen the AMPC. The opposition parties too have been mounting the pressure on making changes to the new farm laws. They have submitted a memorandum to the President Ram Nath Kovind. There are talks that the Farmer Unions may cross the Singhu border where they are protesting. There are also speculations that the Delhi-Agra highway too may be blocked in the coming days.

On the whole, the Farmer Unions conveyed that the protests would be intensified in the coming days if their demands are not met.
