Ahead of Diwali, Several Indian States Ban Firecrackers:- The impact of coronavirus is huge in the country. The country is in huge financial crisis and things are returning back to normal. It takes couple of years for the country to return back to a stable state. Diwali happens to be one of the most celebrated and most awaited festivals of the country. The wave of coronavirus cases are slowly coming down in the country. Several countries of Europe along with USA are impacted with the second wave of coronavirus and experts warned that there are chances that it may attack India too. Some of the Indian states have banned firecrackers. Rajasthan was the first state to ban the firecrackers for Diwali.

The Kolkata High Court banned the usage of firecrackers in West Bengal. A Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed and the High Court banned firecrackers. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal decided to ban the firecrackers as it impacts the air purity. The government order said "The Delhi government has decided to put a complete ban on the sale, purchase, and use of firecrackers in Delhi from November 7 to November 30". The BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation on November 5 announced that the firecrackers are banned for Diwali. The National Green Tribunal on November 5 reserved the decision of ban of firecrackers across the country to November 9th.
