All Eyes Focussed On Dubbaka By-polls:- The stage is set for the polling of Dubbaka Assembly constituency after all the parties participated in an aggressive election campaign. The polling started today at 7 AM in 315 polling stations and will continue till 6 PM. The Telangana State Election Commission made all the arrangements to conduct the by-polls and all the necessary guidelines are issued considering the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The byelection is conducted in the constituency after the sudden demise of MLA Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy. His wife Solipeta Sujatha is the candidate from TRS and 23 candidates are in the race in total. TRS leader Cheruku Srinivas Reddy is contesting from Congress in the by-polls.

BJP fielded M Raghunandan Rao who lost in the previous polls in Dubbaka. The results of the Dubbaka by-polls will be announced on November 10th. TRS is quite confident on retaining the seat as per the ongoing development programs in the state. All the BJP leaders in and around Hyderabad are currently under house arrest ahead of the Dubbaka polls. The security is tightened at Pragathi Bhavan. Some of the leaders are taken into preventive custody. Mothkupalli Narasimhulu, NVSS Prabhakar, DK Aruna and others are under house arrest. TRS Working President KTR said that the development is their only agenda and it would drive them towards victory in the Dubbaka by-polls.
