Speech Highlights: Narendra Modi Asks the Country to be Extra Cautious:- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation about the coronavirus pandemic asking everyone to be extra cautious before a series of festivals will be celebrated in the coming days. Several experts warned and raised concerns about the spread of coronavirus considering the festival season. The tally of coronavirus cases in the country is now at 76 lakhs and for the first time in the last three months, the cases in a day came down to 50,000 mark. Narendra Modi addressed the nation today and here are the highlights of his speech:
We are slowly venturing back to work to get the momentum and our homes going. The lockdown may have ended but the virus is still around. Festivals should be celebrated but everyone should be extra cautious. We have to improve the situation with our safety.
We have tackled coronavirus mostly. The recovery rate reached an all-time high and the fatality row is quite low. 90 lakh beds are available for the patients in the country now and 2000 labs are working across India to conduct coronavirus tests.
The tests will soon cross 10 crores. Our health officials and workers should be appreciated for their contribution. If you are walking in public without a mask, you are keeping yourself and your family at risk.
Countries like Europe and USA have seen a hike in the number of cases after they are reduced. We have to be quite careful until the vaccination for coronavirus arrives.
Our scientists are working on several versions of vaccines. Most of them are in the advanced stages. The Indian government will ensure that the vaccine would reach everyone once it is ready.
Even a little irresponsibility will harm us and all those who are around us. Please wear masks and maintain social distancing when you are in public. Please step out of your homes only if there is a need. Wash your hands regularly and use sanitizers.
