Parliament Passes Two Farm Bills Between Tensed Situations:- In between the protests from the opposition parties, the leading BJP cleared two farm bills in the Parliament house on Sunday. The situations turned tense after some of the senior leaders rammed into the seat of the deputy chairman Harivansh. This turned Rajya Sabha into a battleground on Sunday. The marshals are called in to create a double-layered barricade to protect Harivansh. The opposition demanded to vote and it was rejected. The two agricultural reform bills - the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Bill, 2020 and the Farming Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Bill, 2020 are passed in the house.

They were cleared by voice vote in Parliament and they are referred to the select committee. These happened to be the most aggressive in the recent years and the house was adjourned at 1 PM. DMK leader T Siva, TMC MP Derek O’Brien, the Congress’s KC Venugopal and the AAP’s Sanjay Singh were the leaders seen who were protesting near the chairperson's desk. Some of the opposition leaders are spotted tearing pages and they rushed to protest. The BJP and Congress leaders exchanged words after the sessions for the day got completed. Congress leader Ahmed Patel said that if Ambedkar was alive, he would have hung his head in shame. BJP said that the opposition parties have been intolerant and the leading party said that they are not much bothered about the threats.

Narendra Modi and his cabinet made amendments to three farm bills through ordinances in June and two of them have been passed on Sunday.
