NIA Arrests 9 Al-Qaeda Terrorists from West Bengal and Kerala:- The National Investigative Agency (NIA) conducted multiple raids across the country and arrested nine Al-Qaeda terrorists from multiple locations in West Bengal and Kerala. The officials of NIA busted out the modules of Al-Qaeda in West Bengal's Murshidabad and Ernakulam in Kerala. Nine terrorists from these two states are taken into custody and three of them are from Ernakulam while the other six are from Murshidabad. All the accused are working as laborers and they are in their earlt twenties. Murshid Hasan, Iyakub Biswas and Mosaraf Hossen are from Kerala.

Najmus Sakib, Abu Sufiyan, Mainul Mondal, Leu Yean Ahmed, Al Mamun Kamal and Atitur Rehman are residents of West Bengal's Murshidabad. All these terrorists are in plans to go to Jammu and Kashmir for the delivery of weapons. The primary investigation confirmed that all these have links with Al-Qaeda and they are motivated to conduct attacks in multiple locations of the country including New Delhi. NIA officials said these terrorists have been actively mobilizing funds and some of them are in plans to travel to New Delhi to procure arms. The agency received inputs after which they are kept under surveillance. All these terrorists are in plans to take attacks on innocent Indian people.

The NIA officials seized documents, digital devices, the literature of jihadi, weapons, firearms, body armour, literature and articles along with home-made explosives. They will be produced before special NIA courts in West Bengal and Kerala after which they would be investigated further.
