Coronavirus India Tally Crosses 50 Lakh Mark:- The number of coronavirus cases in the country now crossed 50 lakh mark with 90,123 new cases reported in the country yesterday. The total tally stands at 50,20,360. A total number of 39,42,361 patients recovered from the disease in the country and the number of active cases in the country stands at 9,95,933. 1290 people passed away in India yesterday and the total deaths in the country are now at 82,066. The USA is leading the list with 1,95,765 deaths and Brazil stands second with 1,33,199 deaths. Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka are the most impacted states of the country due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The recovery rate of India stands at 78.28 percent. Maharashtra is on the top of the list with 10.7 lakh cases and it reported 17,000 cases yesterday in the state. Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka contribute 48.8 percent of the number of cases in India. Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Kerala and Telangana contribute 24.4 percent of the active cases in the country. The Union Health Ministry said that more than 70% of the deaths took place in the country because of comorbidities. The total tally of cases in the world is now at 3 crores and 9.23 lakh people passed away in the world.

India is the second country to cross 50 lakh cases after the USA. Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) granted the permission to resume the clinical trials of the vaccine that is developed by Serum Institute of India and Oxford University.
