BJP leader and Maharashtra's ex-Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis took a dig on the ruling Shiv Sensa party for the demolition of the office of actress Kangana Ranaut. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation officials conducted the demolition process recently after Kangana Ranaut compared Mumbai to Pakistan occupied Kashmir. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation questioned why the Uddhav Thackeray government never demolished Dawood Ibrahim's home. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation reminded about the coronavirus wave in the state revealing the number of cases and deaths registered on regular basis.

"The number of coronavirus cases are the highest in Maharashtra. There is a surge of 23,000 to 25,000 new cases on regular basis and 40% of the coronavirus cases are from Maharashtra. Most of the deaths are from the state and Maharashtra has 9.9 lakh cases of coronavirus are registered till date. Maharashtra government is not ready to fight for it. They are fighting Kangana. The state can save many lives if the government spends half of the energy they are spending on the actress. BJP never raised an issue about Kangana Ranaut. Why is the current Maharashtra government quite curious and is making controversial statements in the matter? You don't go and demolish the home of Dawood but you demolish the home of Kangana" said Devendra Fadnavis.
